The trek to Kush Kalyan goes through dense forests, mesmerizing lakes, and beautiful wild flora and faunas. The trek starts from Malla Village located 28 km from Uttarkashi. The 16 km trek is moderately easy and suitable for anyone looking for adventure, peace, and solitude in nature. You can undertake the trek with your friends and family.
The trek to Kush Kalyan starts from Malla Village in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
The vehicle will be arranged from Dehradun, then we will drive to Uttarkashi via Mussoorie. Have breakfast en route and reach Uttarkashi in 5 to 6 hours.
The arrangements will be made in a hotel there.
After breakfast hike today! The 6-kilometer journey from Silla to Papuda will take you deeper into the Himalayas, offering stunning mountain views as you ascend. Allow 5 to 6 hours to complete this stage, taking your time to soak in the fresh mountain air and picturesque surroundings.
After a healthy breakfast, you will start your trek towards the stunning meadows of Kush Kalyan. The enthralling walk through the forests, colourful meadows, and small streams with the snow-capped peaks set beautifully at the background is the highlight of this trek. The campsite of Kush Kalyan offers a heavenly scene which is enough to soak all the tiredness of the trek.
If you have experience in high altitude trekking and have an extra 2-3 days to spare, then you can trek further to Kyarki Khal (4,000 m), Lamb Tal (4,268 m), and Sahastra Tal (5,000 m).
Time to head back! Today’s trek takes you 7 to 8 hours to descend from Kush Kalyan meadows back to Silla. The trail is moderate, so enjoy the beautiful scenery one last time as you make your way down.
