Yamunotri is the primary or initial point of the Char Dham Yatra, and one of the most sanctified pilgrimage sites of the Hindus. To be sited at a height of 3293 meters above sea level, Yamunotri is situated in the Uttarkashi district of the northern-state of Uttarakhand.
To be establish in the direction opposite to Gangotri, the road splits from a destination recognized as Dharasu, somewhere between Rishikesh and Uttarkashi and goes on to Yamunotri. The blessed and divine place can also be visited via Mussoorie and Barkot.
This Yatra is scheduled in the well-known devboomi which is state of Uttarakhand, India. May and June months are the peaks months when most of the devotees visit Yamunotri.
Yamunotri is the birthplace of river Yamuna, the Yatra is considered to be the most holy tour by the Hindu devotees and not only hindus but other religion also because it offers a composed behaviour of mind. This destination is also has environmental ventures, with its hot springs. Rice gets cooked in these hot springs and offers here in the form of Prasad to all the devotees visit here.
This is an extremely matchless Yatra and only one of its kinds as during the course of winter season this place is concealed under a dense layer of snow, so this place becomes very tough to access or reach. The pathway along the river bank is literally outstanding, covered by a wide-ranging scenery of mountains. The whole journey to the temple passes through lots of big and small lakes, rivers, forests, waterfalls, canals, villages and meadows.
